From Personality To Being

As children in a dysfunctional family, these roles were necessary. We abandoned our true, unique being and took on the roles that were needed to keep the family together.

We identified with these roles and started to believe in the personality that was created out of them. This personality became fixed and, as adults, does not allow us to be natural, authentic, spontaneous and able respond in the moment.

As a result, our behavior is inappropriate, not allowing us to function well in our relationships and creating damaging consequences.

By bringing awareness to this process, dis-identification happens and a space is created for our original face to emerge.

This workshop is the second in a stream of five groups, all building on each other as a continuous growth process. Suitable for those who have completed step one.

Individuality is given by existence, personality is imposed by the society. Personality is social convenience. Society cannot tolerate individuality, because individuality will not follow like a sheep. Individuality has the quality of the lion, the lion moves alone. And everyone of you is born a lion, but the society goes on conditioning you, programming your mind as a sheep.”

A three-day workshop

This workshop is an in-depth exploration of the family system and its impact on the growing child. We look at the roles and the false personality the child had to adopt in order to survive.
